Data Deletion Request
Last updated: 22 September 2026
App: Hearing Pal
Overview
Hearing Pal does not use user accounts and does not store your hearing screening results on our own cloud servers. Most personal information you enter in the App remains only on your device.
This page explains how to delete App data and how to request help if you need it.
1. Delete data stored on your device (recommended)
Because screening results and profile answers are stored locally:
On iPhone / iPad
- Delete the Hearing Pal app from your device, or
- Settings → General → iPhone Storage → Hearing Pal → Offload / Delete App (or clear app data where available)
On Android
- Uninstall Hearing Pal, or
- Settings → Apps → Hearing Pal → Storage → Clear data / Clear storage, then uninstall if desired
After uninstall or clear data, local screening history, name, survey answers, and related on-device App data on that device are removed and cannot be recovered from our servers (we do not host them).
2. Subscriptions are separate from App data
Deleting the App does not automatically cancel a paid subscription.
To cancel Premium:
- iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Hearing Pal (or the subscription name shown) → Cancel
- Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → cancel Hearing Pal
You can restore a valid subscription later with Restore Purchases after reinstalling the App. Local history from before uninstall usually will not return.
3. Purchases and third-party processors
Payment and entitlement records may be processed by:
- Apple App Store
- Google Play
- RevenueCat (subscription status)
We do not store your full card number. To delete or manage billing records held by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat, use those providers' account tools or support channels. We can help route a request when you email us (see below).
4. Advertising / analytics (if enabled)
If Meta App Events were enabled in your build and you allowed tracking (iOS ATT or equivalent Android settings), Meta may hold measurement data under Meta's policies. You can:
- Revoke tracking permission in device Settings
- Use Meta's privacy / ad settings tools
- Contact us and we will assist where we can with provider requests
5. How to request help deleting data
There is no in-app account to delete. If you still want a written confirmation or help with a third-party request, email:
Please include:
- Subject: Hearing Pal – Data Deletion
- Platform: iOS or Android
- Approximate purchase date (if any)
- Apple ID email or Google account email used for the store (optional; only if needed to identify a subscription — do not send passwords)
- What you want deleted (local data already removed / subscription / Meta-related / other)
We aim to respond within 30 days.
6. What we typically cannot restore or retrieve
- Local screening results after uninstall or clear storage
- Shared content you already sent through your device share sheet to other apps or people
